La legge 677/96 ha introdotto la possibilità di eseguire la manutenzione dei corsi d'acqua, per ripristinarne l'offciosità idraulica, prelevando una parte del materiale litoide che dovesse risultare in eccesso, dopo la movimentazione dello stesso che si rende necessaria per dare il corretto profilo al reticolo idrografico oggetto d'intervento, eseguendo lavori di manutenzione a scomputo pari al valore del materiale litoide asportato e valutato secondo il canone demaniale.

There is a considerable choice of types of hydraulic structures, and deciding which particular one to adopt will largely depend on the uses it will be put to, and on the overall conditions of the area where it will be installed. In choosing a structure type, the on-site availability of building materials and the skills and experience of local workers should also be verified, with an eye to future maintenance requirements. The specific characteristics of each structure type should be taken into account to select a structure that meets the demands and conditions of the particular site under consideration. Therefore, it will be useful to provide a general classification of hydraulic works before moving on to the analysis of the site selection procedure. In this chapter, use and hydraulic design are introduced as two general criteria for the classification of hydraulic works. The following chapters will mainly focus on hydraulic works that are commonly used in developing countries. Once the type of hydraulic structure has been selected, further inquiries will allow us to decide about its feasibility and design. The investigation procedure is described in the final part of this chapter.

Titolo: EXPERIENCE DE CONSERVATION DES EAUX AU NIGER PROJET KEITA

Atelier régional sur la maîtrise de l'eau en zone aride - Agadir, Maroc 27/02-1/03/2001 Le Projet de Développement Rural de l'Ader Doutchi Maggià (PDR-ADM) travaille dans une zone caracterisée par la presence de un plateau érodé situé à 15° de latitude nord et 6° de longitude est, dans la République du Niger, depuis 1984. Ce projet de coopération au développement est financé par l'Italie et est exécuté par la F.A.O., avec la participation du PAM par l'envoi des rations alimentaires utilisées dans les activités "food for work".
Les activités du projet concernent divers secteurs: infrastructures rurales (piste, dispensaires, école, puits), activités de développement de la condition féminine, appui à la production agricole, le crédit, la pisciculture et l'élevage. Le secteur où le projet a concentré davantage ses efforts est la lutte contre la désertification et l'érosion ; il s'agit de récupération des terres pour le développement agricole et pastoral et de la protection des bassins versants.
